Are nerves, stress or tension stopping you from connecting authentically in public?

Could your body language misrepresent the professional you are?

You may be making yourself small, literally, diminishing your impact and causing undue anxiety!

Instead, in this workshop you will learn to own your own space, discover your inner poise, and be perceived by others as more confident.

Whether you’d like to be more assertive at meetings, feel more at ease at networking events, talking to clients and colleagues, or making difficult phone calls, or would like to speak confidently in public to audiences big and small, the strategies you’ll learn in this workshop will help.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to use the power of your own thinking and awareness to transform your relationship with yourself and your audience.
  • A simple practice to help you open up and come from a place of authentic wholeness as you prepare to meet and speak with others.
  • Ways to shift your attention in the moment to be more centered, present and at ease.
  • To make friends with the space around you to connect more effectively with your audience as you speak.

What is the Workshop Format?

Together we’ll explore mindful and embodied ways to feel more confident, authentic and at ease as we present ourselves in public. This interactive workshop will include individual, partner and group activities. We will get to practice what we learn in a safe and supportive environment. There will be handouts and demonstrations. and a little hands-on (literally) help from me. There will be an opportunity to network with each other, and participants are encouraged to come with a prepared 30-second description of their work, such that they might use to introduce themselves at a typical networking event.

Thanks so much for such a wonderful workshop. It was beautifully thought out and executed with the pauses and space to really integrate the lessons and meaning in the content. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the exercises, discussions and insights and you led us through it with such expertise and fluidity. It was a most meaningful and insightful time and you also made it a fun experience too…. I highly, highly recommend…your entire body of work.

About Your Teacher

Hi! I’m Imogen, and I’m passionate about the transformative power of the Alexander Technique to help us release stress in body and mind.

I’ve developed my own unique approach which I call BodyIntelligence, integrating mindset, posture and self-care, to give my clients practical strategies to relieve and prevent stress and tension so they can achieve their goals and feel great!

Over more than 11 years teaching this transformational work, I’ve discovered a major source of stress for my clients is presenting themselves and speaking in public. The mindful tools of the Alexander Technique are truly empowering in helping us present ourselves well.

I consider myself an introvert, yet since immersing myself in this work I have developed an inner – and outward confidence – and now love working with groups! This doesn’t mean I don’t ever get nervous. I am human. I have, however, reliable strategies at my disposal, that help me be myself in front of my audience with ease and poise.
